Seafarers are advised to exercise caution after a vessel was attacked while transiting through the Gulf of Aden. Bab El Mandeb, Gulf of Aden - Attack - Maritime Piracy - September 3rd 2019

A merchant vessel was attacked during the afternoon hours of September the 3rd while transiting through the Gulf of Aden, some 46 nautical miles southwest of the city of Aden. At approximately 15:30, a two-engine speedboat carrying several men was spotted approaching the vessel. 
Reportedly, the crew noticed a ladder in the speedboat. Thankfully, the vessel managed to evade the attack and reach safety.
Vessel & crew are considered safe.
