Containership, Maersk Aras, will remain in the port of Manzanillo, Mexico, after suffering a main engine failure in late February.
The ship, formerly named Hanjin Indigo, departed from Manzanillo en route to Yokohama, Japan, when engine problems meant it was diverted back to Ensenada, Mexico.
Once there, the 4,662 TEU vessel underwent an investigation and had some repairs, before being sent back to Manzanillo for further work.
It is expected that the repairs will be complete by 19th March and the ship will be able to move on to its planned destination of Yokohama.
Maersk Aras is deployed in Hapag-Lloyd’s AC1 service.
