A shipment of supercars smuggled illegally in to Jakarta have been seized by local authorities.
Ro-ro ship Bajar Fahari V was en route from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia when she was intercepted by authorities on the 12th April.
A Porsche Turbo S was among the 27 supercars and motorbikes hidden in boxes. The seizure included 18 Harley Davidson, BMW and Honda motorbikes, and 9 Toyota, BMW, Nissan Terrano and Porsche cars.
It is believed they were smuggled to Indonesia from Malaysia in Kalimantan via land border. All illegal cargo had Malaysian number plates.
At this stage it is unknown whether the vehicles were stolen or legally bought. Authorities say the shipment did not have the correct customs papers for the cargo.
