Seafarers are advised to exercise caution after a vessel noticed a suspicious approach while transiting through the Strait of Bab El Mandeb.

A merchant vessel underway noticed a suspicious approach during the afternoon of December the 3rd, while transiting through the Gulf of Aden. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Bab El Mandeb, at approximately 14:50 UTC. 

A skiff approached the vessel to within a range of 2 nautical miles.

Vessel & crew are considered safe.
