5 crew members have been killed after an explosion on an offshore drilling ship in Kerala, India.

It is reported that up to 15 others have been injured and 2 are trapped after the explosion on Sagar Bhushan.

The ship was docked at Cochin Shipyard, Kerala when an explosion caused a fire onboard on 13th February. The explosion is said to have occurred in a fuel tank during welding works.

Conflicting local reports mean that specific casualty details are unknown.
