Seafarers are advised to exercise caution after a vessel was attacked while transiting through the Gulf of Guinea.

A merchant vessel was attacked by an unknown skiff as she was sailing off the Nigerian coast. The attack took place at approximately 19:33 GMT in the evening of January the 24th, some 35.9 nautical miles south of Brass Terminal, Nigeria.
Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution in the area.
