A report has come in of a boarding with a hook and rope. A bulk carrier was approached by two robbers at around 02:30 UTC on 03.06.18.

Posn: 06:17N – 003:21E, Lagos Anchorage, Nigeria.

The Duty Officer and the armed security guard noticed the robbers on the forecastle deck after they had boarded the bulk carrier using the hook attached to a rope.

The armed guard fired a warning shot resulting in the robbers escaping and on conducting a search ship stores were reported as stolen.
