A warning has been issued to seafarers after a merchant vessel was boarded at Lagos anchorage earlier this morning.

  1. Category: BOARDING
  2. Description: On 03rd July 2018 at 0029UTC an MV was boarded in posn: 06 16N 003 11E (Lagos anchorage).  A boat tied up to the anchor chain and an intruder was sighted on deck, the crew raised the alarm and informed Patrol boats.  The intruder has left the ship.  Vessel and crew are SAFE. 

Vessels transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.
