2 seafarers had to be medevaced from a bulk carrier in Rotterdam after being injured by waves.

Bulk carrier, Bona, was transiting from Richards Bay to Rotterdam on August 28th when the crew were caught by waves. 

The ship turned to Port Elizabeth where both were medevaced by the NSRI Port Elizabeth rescue craft Spirit of Toft to hospital. 

The wave struck the men and threw them on to the deck causing severe injuries. 

The bulk carrier resumed her voyage.
