At least ten crew members are missing after the cargo ship, Shun Qiang 2 collided with the tanker, Yong An in the early hours of 15th July off China’s east coast.

According to The Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Centre, the incident occurred near Shanghai at approx.1:38 a.m local time when 13 people fell into the water as the ships collided.

Shun Qiang 2 sank on impact in the Wusongkou anchorage in Shangahi, but The Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration have so far managed to rescue three of those onboard. 

Search and rescues operations are ongoing for the remaining ten sea farers.
